Part 4 - handball-specific endurance
In July 2020, Europe's largest handball magazine HANDBALLWOCHE will publish an exclusive four-part series by Ingemar Pohl for
Athletics theme.

Part 4 of the series is about handball-specific endurance within and outside of team training.
Which endurance variants are useful in handball and in which sequence are they trained systematically building on each other? What are the differences between field players and goalkeepers? What can an endurance unit look like in team training?

The answers to these questions and additional interesting information about endurance training in handball see the following article.
"When I was an active athlete, I would have loved to have had an app like Sports Athletic myself.
As far as individual athletics are concerned, I don't know anything at the moment
comparable. "
TRAINER AREA
As a trainer or club manager, you can find more information about the Sports Athletic app and how the app can help you promote your teams here.
USER EXPERIENCE
8 weeks ago I practiced various exercises in this app with my men's team independently at home twice a week plus 1x on the weekend.
I tested it a week ago.
RESULT:
All participants made enormous progress in jumping height and jumping distance in these 8 weeks. I was also able to call at any time if I had any questions about the methodology and duration of the exercises and was given professional, competent instruction.
A very good app for players and coaches.
Absolutely to be recommended.
My personal favorites with the app for handball athletics training are the exercises for jumping, throwing and torso strength, which I do as a physiotherapist and as an active player in the over 20 league in the handball department of FC Bayern Munich eV from my daily practice can only confirm.

FROM A TRAINER'S POINT OF VIEW THE APP IS AN ABSOLUTE GAIN.
You don't have to worry so much about the athleticism of the players and you don't have to sacrifice valuable indoor time for effective strength training. I have already tried many different apps for strength training, but for a handball player I consider this to be by far the best, as it explicitly addresses the requirements of our sport and provides better training plans than I know from fitness trainers in studios.
